Stormshield launches the product Stormshield Data Security for Google Workspace

Full control of company data

Through this partnership, Stormshield is a trusted third party for user data protection in Google Workspace – which includes Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides and Meet.

In order to increase the level of data privacy, Stormshield, a Google partner, offers an independent encryption solution, integrated into the “Client-side encryption” feature developed by Google, while maintaining the native user experience of Google Workspace.

Client-side encryption that enhances privacy and security

SDS for Google Workspace allows the use of independent keys to encrypt data, on the client side, before it is sent to the Google servers. Companies thus retain full control over the confidentiality of their data, which is indecipherable to Google’s servers.

SDS for Google Workspace offers its users cloud-based or on-premise management of encryption keys, as well as connection to an identity management service used to access these keys.

Beyond this reappropriation of the encryption key to protect their documents and data, companies also ensure their regulatory and sector compliance, guaranteeing peace of mind and confidence. SDS for Google Workspace can help with regulations such as ITAR, EAR, CJIS, IRS 1075 and HIPAA standards and GDPR regulations.
